Briza

From Relationships to Connections traces the evolution of insurance distribution from traditional relationships to increasingly connected digital systems. The book uses the physical experience of print to tell that transition, moving from a warm, tactile historical perspective toward a cleaner and more structured view of the digital future.

The Challenge

The project was created as a physical expression of Briza's story for an audience of senior insurance executives. The challenge was to communicate a fairly complex shift, from traditional insurance relationships toward connected digital systems, within a short, highly visual book.

The design needed to give the book enough physical and editorial presence to feel substantial despite its limited page count, while creating a clear visual progression from the history of insurance distribution to its increasingly connected future.

Production & Color

The book was designed as an 8x8" hardcover with an image-wrapped, matte-laminated cover. Because the book was relatively short, the physical production played an important role in giving it the presence of a substantial publication rather than a marketing booklet.

The visual treatment also needed to bridge two very different worlds. The opening uses colder imagery, more tactile references, and an antiquated pace, while the later sections become cleaner, warmer and more structured as the story moves toward digital connectivity.

Editorial Structure

The editorial structure was built around that transition. The early pages are intentionally slower, giving historical imagery and ideas room to breathe, while the later pages become more organized and efficient as the subject moves toward modern systems and digital connections.

Rather than relying on a large amount of text, the design uses image selection, scale, whitespace, and increasingly structured layouts to carry the narrative. The result is a relatively small book that still has a clear beginning, progression, and conclusion.
